I have itching/burning/discharge/and irritation but the discharge doesn't smell at all I wanted to know Does the discharge have to smell in order for it to a yeast infection or it doesn't have to smell Please help me

Do I have to get prescription medication or do I just go to the pharmacy and get something? If so what do I get? (I live in Australia) Or do I just have to wait until it goes away? Any other tips? I think I must have gotten this from antibiotics as I had a minor surgery 4 days ago.

What would happen to a yeast infection if it were left untreated by antibiotics? How did women deal with it before antibiotics were invented?

4-5 days ago I came down with a Yeast Infection...thick white cottage cheese discharge, itching, and foul odor. I went and bought myself some Monistat 3 day suppositories and took the last dose last night. Although the thick cottage cheese discharge has disappeared, I am now left with a thin watery discharge with a foul odor and itchiness. I've had Bacterial Vaginosis once before and it seems similar to that. Can a Yeast infection turn into Bacterial Vaginosis? Or perhaps is it possible that the yeast infection is only partially cured and I need more Monistat?

I get them alllllll the time. I will not buy another tube of monistat. Its expensive and it only keeps it away for a week or two. I'm starting to thing the monistat and the diflucan pill I get from my doctor just minimizes yeast and does not kill it. I want something to KILL IT. Please help. I'm sick of my battle with yeast. So, about a year ago, sex started to hurt with my boyfriend. I thought that maybe I just wasnt attracted to him anymore, so I ignored the pain (stupid me). Finally, after a year, I got sick of the pain, and after still being crazy about my boyfriend, I realized that this could not be the case. I went to the gyno. She took a swab and confirmed that I had a yeast infection. She precribed me two pills of dificilin and told me to call back if I had any problems. Well, the pills didn't work. They seemed to calm down the hurting, but it was still there. I called my doctor back, and she again took another swab. She repeated that the yeast was still there, and that she could see that I was very red, swollen, and tender. She then precribed me the 7 day vaginal application Terconazole cream. Tonight is my last night taking it, and I still feel like it isn't taking care of the problem. I'm so scared that this yeast infection is a lot worse than the doctors seem to think. Any advice? At least to make me feel better. No one needs to tell me call my doctor and tell them my fears, because they already know, and I obviously will call back if I find the cream hasn't worked either. But I am scared, and would appreciate input.

Let me start by saying, I've always had a pretty regular period. About a 31 day cycle on average. I have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend a couple times this month, and possibly around my fertile period/ovulation day, and he also came inside me on the fourth day of my last period. I have had unexplained weight loss (135lbs now I'm 122lbs 3 days before my expected period) random nausea at random times, tender breasts and nipples, I've been extremely emotional, to the point I was almost checked into snowden. Could these be possible early pregnancy symptoms, or should I be expecting my period. Also, I started having random vaginal dryness lately after using a tea tree-treatment on a tampon in my vagina, with EXTREMELY thick and sometimes cottage-cheese like discharge, without odor. I sometimes have itching (but rarely) which makes me think I might have a yeast infection. And I found now that I have paper cut-like lesions on my vagina that burn very badly when I pee, and wipe. I've started a 3-day yeast infection treatment. Could a yeast infection cause dryness and lesions? and could one be present without odor or intense itching? I've read on some sites that thick discharge could be an early pregnancy symptom. I am very confused, and need help.. I would like a doctor to be my absolute last resort. I get a yeast infection about ever 1-4 months & I always take fluconazole for it, but I was wondering if maybe cleaning down there with summers eve instead of a regular body wash would help me stop getting them? For those that use summer eve products...how do you like them? & do you use the cleansing wash, wips, powders..?

Got prescribed a one dose fluconazole tablet, and a bottle of nilstat pills (four a day) to take for a yeast infection. I started the regime 24hrs ago and I have had no relief from the thrush. I am so incredibly itchy and sore its driving me crazy!!!! How long should I give it before i decide its not working!?
